Looking to unwind and disconnect with the world? Sea Breeze is your place to do it! The ocean is turquoise blue and gorgeous, the service is excellent, and it’s nice and quiet. If you’re looking for nightlife, this isn’t the place for you, but anyone just wanting to enjoy the serenity and beauty of Barbados can find a home away from home in the Sea Breeze Beach House all-inclusive resort.
Which rooms to stay in:
I have to recommend you stay in the new Luxury building, where the Junior Suites have unbeatable ocean front views and balconies where you might actually fall right into the ocean if you tried. The rooms are decorated in light greys and turquoise and embody the beach vibe that will help you to stay in vacation mode.
The service is great. Karen, the front office manager as well as the bar manager were both a pleasure to meet and chat with, and wanted nothing more than to make sure all guests were satisfied and having a pleasant time. The room service is tasty as well as prompt (but there is no room service menu, which is a bit strange—you’ll have to call and ask if they have the particular food you have in mind).
And of course, food!
The ocean front restaurant called Cerulean has some of the best food I’ve ever tried in the Caribbean, and has the sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere to go along with it. I tried a feta cheese croquette, the pea risotto, and a lamb dish that were all mouthwatering. Be sure to make reservations for dinners when you arrive at the resort, as this restaurant and the Aqua Terra both require them to get a table at dinnertime.
Also, try the vegetable and chicken samosas from the Flying Fish restaurant! There is also a weekly beach barbeque where you can enjoy some traditional Bajan food, the sand in your toes, and the lapping of the waves as background noise.
In the evenings…
The resort has a little bit of evening entertainment—my favorite was a well-known local saxophone player named Mylon Clarke who was also a lot of fun to talk with after his show. He played a lot of saxophone covers of well-known songs as well as classics and it was the perfect soundtrack for the laid-back resort life! It’s also only a short cab ride away from popular Oistin’s and St. Lawrence Gap for nightlife!
Overall, I’d definitely recommend Sea Breeze for the right type of traveler. If this sounds right for you, give Aum Journeys a buzz and we’ll hook you right up!
Sincerely,
CAITLYN WITH A COMPASS
