It is the largest theater in Italy and one of the largest in Europe, renowned for its perfect acoustics.

Had an amazing visit to the San Domenico Palace today - the hotel in Taormina, Sicily where the second season of White Lotus was filmed. I learned so much about the property from my knowledgeable guide and trusted hotel contact here…

It used to be a monastery and still houses much of the original building features and artwork. Not only did the popular TV show bring this hotel into the spotlight, but the destination itself as well!

I was here 3 years ago and don’t remember hearing nearly as much English being spoken around me then…

But if you want to be here and experience it like a VIP, Aum Journeys and San Domenico Palace can help. I’ve been exploring all the hidden corners of the town and learning as much as possible. I can definitely give you an edge over the others visiting the area these days! And it’s very much worth the visit. It’s one of the most picturesque places I’ve seen in all of Italy.

Such a cute & beautiful little place. Lots of green spaces, dramatic ocean views, & cozy little restaurants. Even on a ☔️ day you can enjoy the Roman ruins & history of the place.

You’ve definitely gotta try the granita if you’re here… basically the shaved ice of Sicilia with fresh fruit syrup. 🤤 🍓 🍊 🍨

Tomorrow I’ll be checking out the beautiful accommodations here for Aum Journeys travelers (SPOILER ALERT: 🪷White Lotus🪷 filming location!), and I’ll definitely be sharing those, so stay tuned!
